40 hours HSE training

Mandatory training for safety representatives and members of working environment committees

(40-timers HMS-opplæring, lovpålagt for verneombud og AMU-medlemmer – på engelsk) 

 

Time:

These four Mondays: November 24, December 1, 8 and 15

(totally four days)

08:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs each day

Place:

Smelteverket 101, 5750 Odda

Price:

Kr. 8 500 per person

The price includes lunch, coffee/tee, course documentation and course certificate

Course duration: 40 hours (4 course days and a specially designed assignment)

The course focuses on:

  • Physical and psychosocial working environment
  • Accidents and accident prevention
  • Internal control
  • Systematic HSE work
  • The Working Environment Act and related regulations
  • The indicidual's  role in the working environment work – and the importance of  role clarification
  • Risk assessments
  • Communication and cooperation
  • Safety inspections
  • Group exercises and discussions

After the course, the participants receive a course certificate.

Who is the course for?

It is mandatory for safety representatives and members of working environment committes (Norwegian: verneombud and medlemmer av arbeidsiljøutvalg) to receive at least 40 hours training on HSE to enable them to perform their duties in a proper manner.

This course meets the Working Environment Act's requirements for such training. It will be equally relevant for employers, managers and others – such as employees within HSE and HR, or emoployee representatives (union representatives).

Varied course days :-)

Sitting at the "school desk" does not have to be heavy and boring. The course days are structured with lectures, engaging assignments and group work.

There will also be time for discussion and reflection.

About the course instructor:

Paul Henriksen:

Paul has has more than 20 years of experience from the Armed Forces and the police – both as a military police commander, police officer and lead investigator. He has further education in emergency management, crisis management, organization and leadership, and police management.
